The value of design to small business

Found this video via the Design Council and thought I would share it with you.

The Design Council have been working with the Arts & Humanities Research Council to try and measure the impact that design thinking can have on small businesses that are trying to expand. They found  that the true value of design lies in far more than making something look nicer or work better. It’s was about changing the way a business operates.

The research found that not only can design thinking increase the range of products a business develops, but it also lead to a more inspiring workplaces, happier staff, better service and, as a result, greater customer satisfaction.

The findings are presented in this robot-inspired animation which is a great video. Enjoy!
